English Afternoon Focus Classes
Afternoon Focus Classes for the Intensive Schedule or the Super Intensive schedule.
If you study English Success, TOEFL or TOEIC Success, PCBM or Business English Success on either an Intensive schedule or a Super Intensive schedule you can choose from five exciting Afternoon Focus Classes. Our Afternoon Focus Classes have been created with you in mind so topics range from understanding Pop Culture to delivering a PowerPoint presentation! Adding an Afternoon Focus Class to your schedule will allow you to reach your personal educational goals faster than on the Standard schedule. Each class lasts four weeks. At the end of the four weeks you can choose to either continue with your existing Focus Class or try a new one for four weeks. We also guarantee a maximum of only 12 students per teacher in your class to make sure you get the attention you deserve!
Afternoon Focus Classes (Monday through Thursday from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm)
Communication Focus Classes
Speaking Skills (Levels 1-6)
Students will learn:
- Speaking Fundamentals
- Pronunciation and effective verbal communication
- Commonly used expressions
Popular English (Levels 1-6)
Exciting subjects include:
- Meeting people and socializing in English
- Talking about music and movies
- Using popular slang
- Popular, current trend
Speaking Fluency (Levels 7-10)
This class focuses on:
- Building speaking confidence
- Ways to polish and perfect your speech
- Interaction with native speakers
Current Events and Debate (Levels 7-10)
Intrax's first student driven course!
- Students choose a different topic of high interest each week
- Students complete research, discuss and debate the topic
- Students learn to speak with authority
American Business Case Studies (Levels 7-10)
Students will explore:
- Major American brands such as Google, Apple, Microsoft and others
- Successful ad campaigns
- Famous business case studies
Professional Presentation Skills (Levels 7-10)
With this class, you'll learn to:
- Write clear, effective presentations
- Select and prepare images and charts to support your presentations
- Deliver professional presentations to an audience
Internship Preparation (Levels 7-10)
This curriculum includes:
- Creating a North American style resume
- Writing an effective cover letter
- Successful interview techniques
- Tips for success in the U.S. or Canadian workplace
