Youth Bridge Program in Vancouver, B.C.

Intrax's Youth Bridge Program is an English program combined with Academic preparation in the afternoon.

This unique academic program is designed for:

  • Students who want to learn English and learn about Canadian culture.
  • Students who plan to enter the Canadian or American School System ESL program
  • Students who want to learn English skills within an academic environment

Students who participate in Intrax's Youth Bridge Program will enjoy small classes and can choose from a schedule of either 15 or 30 hours of Instruction per week. The classes are divided equally between fundamental English language training and subject training related to the Canadian school curriculum.

By focusing on core academic subjects of the Canadian School System (Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and Health and Fitness) students of our Youth Bridge Program are challenged by an intensive, comprehensive curriculum. Intrax offers the Youth Bridge Program in four levels. These levels follow the British Columbia Ministry of Education's Learning Outcomes.

Program Details

Youth Bridge Program Students have the option of registering for either Part-Time or Full Time classes. Part-Time classes are available for mornings (9am-12pm) or afternoons (1-4pm) Monday to Thursday. Full-Time students study from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Part-Time students have the option of joining the full day fieldtrips on Fridays (9am-4pm).

The morning portion of the Bridge program is a comprehensive ESL curriculum that builds on the student's English abilities. The classes include all elements of ESL acquisition: Grammar, Writing, Reading, Listening, Pronunciation and Speaking. There is typically up to one hour of homework every evening to supplement the course material.

In the afternoon, Bridge students enjoy core subject instruction based on the BC public school curriculum.
