English Classes and Curriculum

The Intrax Summer Youth Camp curriculum is specially designed for children and teens and focuses on English communication. Students are placed into one of 8 levels of learning separated by age and level: "Kids 1, 2, 3 and 4" for 8 to 12 year olds and "Teens 1, 2, 3 and 4" for 13 to 18 year olds.

On the first day of classes, new students will be tested with a specialized Intrax Placement Test. The first day test runs approximately 1 hour and evaluates the students reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary levels. After completion of the placement test, students are divided by age and English level.

Specialized Thematic Curriculum

Classes focus on conversation, idioms, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar and are centered on weekly themes. Intrax's certified teachers guide students through interactive study plans which encourage in-class participation and communication. Weekly classroom themes are linked to Canadian culture, and students get to practice their skills in the afternoon.

There are 15 hours of English classes (3 hours per day) and 5 hours of homework every week. Students have an opportunity to complete their homework with the help of their Canadian Mentors Monday to Friday.
